Chipotle open sort of!!!!!!!!!

The new Chipotle had a pleasant surprise for me and my boys today free lunch for me and dinner for them. Yep it was free everything including the chips and salsa anything you wanted on the menu for the main course and a drink.

They are in the process of training and what a cool side benefit for the neighborhood while they learn. Don't know if they are doing this tomorrow but you might want to stop by for lunch or dinner.

You just stopped by and got the free meal? I always wondered how restaurants test out their food and service before they open. Cool!

A lot of them will hold a "Friends And Family Night" prior to opening where the employees are asked to invite...Friends & Family. This way you're training the staff with a fairly positive audience.

 

BTW - Oct 26 is the Grand Opening

stopped by there to get a burrito bowl for lunch and they will open on friday! was disappointed at first. but then headed over to the new sushi restaurant - Naruto (www.narutosushi.com) - around the bend and it's excellent!!! the best sushi i've had in these parts in a long time.

My kids got the last two from the spa and the wine place is out. Don't know if any other merchants are giving them out.
Three free meals for each so far from Chipolte, although my kids will more then make up for it in the future with the business they will give them

I would have thought that the free meals were for people to give them a first try without dipping into the wallet. For one person to use three of them seems a little out of the spirit for which it was intended.

 

Normally I would say true but my college kids who have little money will eat there way more then most of you. They were the ones that got most of the free meals. I only got one by accident only

I've never eaten at a Chipotle - is it good? We ate at California Tortilla this weekend and it was all right - certainly better than Del Rio. However, I swear than no one around here is capable of making a decent quesadilla to save their lives!

 

yeah...it's pretty good, considering it's fast food too. it's a healthier alternative (assuming you don't eat one of their burritos in one sitting because they are huge!!!!!!!!!!!!)

 

Great food but nothing for the kids to eat. Would it kill them to put a couple of kid's meals on the menu or at least sell kid size drinks? Moe's seems better for taking the whole family although i prefer to food at chipotle.

 

gb10, I love Chipotle but if they have a quesadilla I've never seen it. I totally agree it's impossible to find a good one around here! The one at Del Rio is so soggy and contains approximately ten pounds of greasy cheese.

 

I believe it's only on their kid's menu. I have seen them make one as well.

 

You know, I have to go on business trips to Oklahoma City all the time and many places make WONDERFUL quesadillas there. You'd think this area would offer someone adept at quesadilla-making. Such a disappointement.

 

You have to ask for it and then they make it for you.

 

You know who does make a pretty good quesadilla - Baja Fresh. We should get one of those. I went to California Tortilla and got one, but it was pretty lame - not as bad as Del Rio (yech!), but pretty lame nonetheless.
