There is a all grey cat without a tail wondering behind my townhome on Autumnwood Sq. He's pretty big, with no collar. Just checking to see if it belongs to someone and is lost.

It is extremely skidish but does seem to want to come in the house. It keeps hanging out on my porch. Let us know if you are missing him. If I get a chance I will try to get a picture of him to post

Please, please catch him if you can. He is not neutered and has impregnated a feral feline 4 times - yes she's produced that many litters!

If I can catch him, what do I do with him?

it depends if it is feral or a family pet.

A feral feline recently had her litter in our landscaping 3 kittens. Yesterday my hubby was working in our yard, he was clawed and bitten (pretty deep - couldnt get the bleeding to stop) by one the feral kittens.

Feral: We called animal control today and they indicated... "we DO NOT pick up feral cats or kittens and instructed him to the ER for a rabies shot. We could bring in the kittens, however I was told they would not be suitable for adoption." :conf2:

Family Pet: Animal control will come out to pick up a trapped/lost cat and will attempt to reunite with their owner.

    Hope that helps

Pea...you may have a different litter of kittens since the ones I'm trying to trap will not come close to a human at all. Maybe the ones in your back yard are much younger. It's is a good idea to trap them whether they're tame or not. The county shelter will judge their age/temperament and determine if they can be domesticated/tamed and adopted out.

Hope your husband is okay. I was bitten by a feral 2 years ago and hospitalized for three days and given antibiotic IV. They didn't give me a rabies shot though because I had the two ferals penned after getting them fixed and the hospital said to continue to monitor them for any behavior changes. They turned out fine, as did I, and I released them as TNRs.

What color are the kittens and the mom?

The Mom is Black and the kittens are a mix of black, white and grey stripes. They look pretty young, I'd estimate less than 8 weeks or so.

I think they may have moved into the wet-lands near by, yesterday we saw them running down the street toward the wetlands and the food we left out has not been touched.
