I am so very sorry. That is tragic. I had been praying for his safe return. This is awful. Please forgive the lack of eloquence, but I am just so sad. I am an animal lover and having the same breed as Tank just makes it even harder. My two Peebs send their love and Peeb kisses to you and your family.

Was just sharing the sad news with my family, and my teenager (imagine that) had an idea: is there an animal rescue place, dogs who visit seniors or other good local organization that could use a little extra funding? We want to do something to make this a positive, and thought that giving $50 or $100 to a local charity in Tank's name could help someone else at least. Even though we didn't know Tank, we grew to love him through this effort and would like to help others in his name.

I'm very saddened to learn about Tank's passing. We've been following the updates, and praying for his safe homecoming.

I hope his suffering was minimal. Obviously, Tank was a very dear member of your family. May God Bless you for your love and devotion to him.

Thank you all so much for your condolences and prayers. I was so hoping when I got the call from the Greenway people that it wouldn't be Tank. I was neither expecting it nor prepared for it. I'm sure that, other than being in the show ring, his last 5 days on Earth were the happiest days of his life- running free in the woods and fields, chasing rabbits. Silence, I'll speak to my wife this evening about your suggestion- she's a member of the PBGVCA but she may have another idea, I don't know. Bear with me on getting all those flyers down; that's gonna be hard. Thanks to all of you again.

    Dutchml and Family--

Our family is also sorry to hear of your family's loss of your family member Tank. We have 3 dogs on our farm; and if any of our dogs went missing we would be sad too.

We hope that you and your family will have a blessed and Merry Christmas. Our heart goes out to your family at this time.

I'll drive through Broadlands tonight and take as many of your fliers down as I can see. I can imagine that would be very hard for you to do and I'd like to be able to do something.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sooooo sorry. I, too, was following this and hoping he'd be found safe and sound. I know this isn't going to be easy for you, hang in there.

Where are the other flyers posted? If you can give us some direction, my son and I will take down as many as we can find tomorrow. You don't need to do this--I bet your neighbors around here will help as much as possible.

To all our neighbors and friends who have been following this horrible saga, I wish to thank you for all your kind prayers, thoughts and encouragement. No one should EVER have to go through this!!!

I wish to take this opportunity to especially thank Dog Day Afternoon (Sandy, the owner, was out every day helping us search and hand out flyers, and Deb who searched and provided help and support as well), Stream Valley Veterinary Hospital who helped with flyers and medical advise, searching and support, our postmaster and postwoman, trashmen, fedex, JK Moving and Storage (had a flyer in every truck), the school bus drivers, all the guys at the water treatment plant, Erika Cotti (who had an endless supply of contacts and helpful suggestions), our PBGV neighbors, Tammi Marcoullier (who wrote a wonderful article for Living in Loco which was seen up and down the East Coast), Woofies, and every last person who helped search the roads and fields for us. We are most grateful for everyone's help and support. We are only too sorry for the conclusion!

As for those who may want to do something in memory of Tank, there is a Health and Rescue Foundation that the PBGVCA (National Club for PBGV's to which we belong) runs. They use the money for rescue and health research. All contributions are tax deductible. Checks may be made payable to PBGV Health/Rescue Foundation, 25 Beth Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057. Gifts can be made "in memory of Ch. Bon Ami's Army of One of Goosecreek - TANK!" We will certainly be doing this. It is a very good cause.

I thank everyone again for all your support. This was an exhausting period of time for everyone. Please hug your furry friends, kids, and families and tell them daily how much you love them!

    Linda
