So, what's the verdict on Bertucci?

I went there twice: lunch with a friend and lunch with family. I like the food (pasta both times) but we were not impressed by the quantity. Mind it was not the lunch special but orders from the regular menu. Loved the rolls and the idea of the big salad bowl. Service was quick and friendly.
What really turned us off was the size of the pasta my kids ordered yesterday. Both had pasta with tomato sauce and the portion were way too small. Maybe okay for a 3 year old but mine are elementary age. The tomato sauce was without any spice or herbs, just tasteless out of the can.
Friends of ours when there last night and had a hard time waiting with 3 kids in that tiny waiting area. When they tried to move over to the spacier bar section they were called back because of the kids.

I will probably return for lunch but will rather go back to Med. Breeze or San Vito if we have the kids with us.

Try Amvrosia (by Panera) too. The kids meals are large (at least when we've been there) and the food is all good. I think kids eat free Monday through Thursday too.
