In case you don't know this but an good neighbor BOS should have the county compensate any individual in full for that decision that causes undue harm because of said action. It is done all the time when the county or VDOT condemns ones property for the public good. So if this hospital is in the public good then the county and hospital should compensate for any harm caused by that decision.

I agree that humans should have compassion.
I find it reprehensible that Inova employees are doing all they can to keep another hospital out of Loudoun County. Unless it's an Inova hospital.

A population of 15,000 and there are two other hospitals within 15 miles?

I wonder if Donna will address the two cases of illegal activity that Inova is now paying over $11,000,000 in fines for?

Well with that kind of thinking how many hospitals are within 15 miles of the broadlands site. I would say more then two.

Lee is arguing that even when they reach 100% build out, which they've shown plans for, they will somehow be able to get the county to change the zoning laws to allow them to build even more.

PLEASE! If it is a serious enough injury or illness, run the damn gate!

And Lee, I agree with Dog in his comment. You ARE a negative Nelly, glass 1/2 empty type. And you do not like it when people do not agree with you.

Lol, you all sure have forgot the history of this saga.

    (1) HCA said: If this site is not built on, no new hospital will be built.
    (2) HCA mailed propaganda to every home. Still do and have and rented an office in our neighborhood even after a poll said they were not wanted.
    (3) HCA shut down the hospital in Alexandria to put this one here. That is why there are all the mental billets.
    (4) Donna was not originally Inova, she took that well after this all started. She wasn't a board member then either.
    (5) Talk about using HOA funds. There were few HOA newsletters pushing HCA.

It is not an argument or fantasy it will happen. I have never seen an hospital that has never expanded beyond the original vision or plans too. Whether they admit or not.

You will get used to the sound of helo's. I have lived near many hospitals as well as on the largest helicopter use Army base in the US. After a short while you just don't hear it.

And everyone can spare the whole " I shouldnt have to get used to it" argument. Cause basically you are saying that you shouldnt have to get used to something that is saving lives.

One of them is set up and operated by a Broadlands resident who lives close to the hospital site.

dont forget to add in population (ei fairfax to that mix) or factor for every 1,000 there are 2+ hospital beds for Destin.

While loudoun sits around per 1,000 >.62 well below the national average. numbers are numbers.

Loudoun might have but probably not Inova Loudoun and CERTAINLY not after all the recent expansion. I would bet my house that Inova Loudoun is just as concerned about profit as HCA.

And if Inova Loudoun is so caring how about dropping the tax-exempt status and paying a fair share in taxes.

Sound advice. You should follow it too and not post stories that are not relevant and "statistics" that are opinion.

Let's see, how to get to it from the west:
    1) Greenway.
    2) Rte 7 to Belmont ridge. (most of which should be four laned by the time the hospital would open).
    3) Sycolin Road. (which will be paved in 2009.)
    4) Evergreen Mill or Ryan Rd to Belmont Ridge.

Lots of ways. Question for you. How would western Loudoun get to the Rte 50 hospital?
    1) Horribly gridlocked Rte 50.
    2) Two lane Rte 15 south to horribly gridlocked Rte 50.

I have come to the conclusion that all of us that have posted in this thread will not be taken seriously until we meet again in person and therefore we must cease posting until we meet at the next HH.:clap::clap::clap:

    Good bye until then:happygrin:

Just like the compassion showed to the poor folks who could not pay there bill in the article published in the Washington Post?
Inova was going after this person to squeeze any penny they could find. The same article mentioned that HCA settled with them amicably.
    Where's the compassion?

Actually revergreen to the rt 50 corridor is simpler especially when arcola builds their roads and arcola has been approved. Sycolin even when paved will still be a dark curvy and very slow nightmare.

And if you take rt 7 you may as well go to inova

    rt 50 is being widen
