Anyone here know about recording audio (from a WebEx presentation) and editing it to end up with a separate file to go with each slide in the presentation? Current provider offers recording in one long .wmp and I need to pull out portions and save as .mp3. Can this be done? If you have info please contact me at 703-729-7701 or 703-975-5626, or via email through this forum. Thanks!

Go download Audacity, which will enable you to load the whole audio file, edit it and save the portions you want into separate files.

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Of course, this assumes that the original audio file you have has no DRM (Digital Rights Management) in it...

you may also want to look into a dynametric box - this will allow you to record both web & audio in sync

A caution with Audacity. I haven't had very good results with it on my Mac. I don't know if the quality of the Windows version is any better but I would not touch it after what it did to the sound on my OS X Laptop.

That's interesting; I've used it both in Windows and on my Mac with no issues. Also, many podcasts out there make use of Audacity for editing purposes with no issues.

Could your issues have been some isolated incident?
