Absolutely. This can benefit anyone, regardless of activity.

Here are some additional Frequently Asked Questions on Bobby’s Detox Program:

    1. How often should I detox with this program?

It’s good to do this BIG detox 1-2 times per year, and any time you’ve got significant gastro-intestinal issues going on. Stomach flu, sickness, etc. A lot of common illnesses are caused from the body not being able to “eliminate”
waste products and toxins efficiently. Giving the inside a “big clean” will fix most of those issues. But on a smaller scale, this is a good program to follow for 1 day/month just to keep the body running right and “regular”.

    2. I’m getting a lot of headaches during the detox, is this normal?

Yes, it is common. This is the result of your body pushing the “toxins” out of the body. Keep drinking your water, following through with the program, and “persevere”. While it can be challenging, particularly if you’re a regular coffee drinker or caffeine user, it’s all for the best in the long run to clean out the body and go through this “detox” process.

    3. I’m REALLY tired during the first few days of my detox, is that ok?

Yes. Take it easy and get some rest. You’re probably going to be a little tired and weak during the first few days, that’s normal. After day 3, try using the Cinch tea and/or Shaklee’s herbal “Cor-Energy” product to reduce fatigue.

    4. Can I complete my normal workout while on this program? You can workout on this program, but will be best served by taking it a little “lighter” for this 7-day period. Listen to your body, and go easy… no hard-core workouts during this time period.

    5. WOW, I’m on the “can” a LOT during the first 2-3 days, is that normal?

Yes, it is. Bobby likes to say that the toilet will be your favorite seat in the house for the first 72 hours. Roll will it, and stock up on the 2-ply! This is your body getting rid of all the “junk” in your colon.

NOTE: Please consult your physician before beginning any nutritional detox or “fasting” type program. Particularly if you’re on medication of any kind.

I think you both are getting this "detox" program confused with the "intox" diet.

    Drink up!

Yes, there are a bunch of "pills" to take in the first week, but it's only a week to clean your system out. After that you can go back to more regular food.

Most of the problems I hear from people are 1) they cannot swallow pills (gag-reflex) or 2) the pills do not sit well in their stomachs.

I cannot help with the first one, but the good thing about Shaklee is their quality of ingredients and published clinical studies. They guarantee all of their products 100%, so it's risk free to try it. They know once you try their products you will immediately feel the difference (very similar to how we introduce our training program - try it, if you like it, do it). If you don't like how a product tastes or makes you feel, simply return the items for a full refund. I have even seen people with gastric by-pass not have a problem because their products are highly bio-available and digestible.

Their motto is: Changing Brands Can Change Your Life and after trying just about every other manufacturer and product on the market for the last 20+ years and doing the independent research myself, I will not recommend anything else. I love the Vitalizer product the best.

I'd be happy to help, offer advice or answer any other questions you may have about fitness (or beer  )

    How to swallow pills.

1- Put water in your mouth, and hold it, as you would with mouth wash, etc.
2 - Tilt head back, open mouth, pop in pill. Pill is now floating around in water held in your mouth
    3 - Shake head, swallow.

You'll never know there was a pill in there at all.

Are the pills that important to the detox program? I am weary of adding more stuff to my body in an attempt to detox. Is there a more natural way to detox?
