For those of you who are for the proposed gun range in Ashburn there is a BOS meeting tonight at 6pm at the County Government Building @ 1 Harrison Street in Leesburg. I suggest that those who are in favor of it attend so that the BOS see there is a demand for it in the area. I plan on attending and hopefully some of you will as well.

    Gun Ohna-
I believe this range will not be open to the public. It is a private club that is for corporate members and costs a boatload of money to join.
    But I could be wrong.

Well, I just got done watching the webcast of the meeting last night and I am not really impressed that this range is truly going to serve the general citizens. I applaud Stevens Miller for the questions he asked. I don't think Mr. Miller ever got one straight answer to his questions, they always were trying go around actually answering the question. I will be interested to hear other views on the meeting and Mr. Miller I would like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for watching and for your kind remarks. I believe the applicant's answers made it clear that this will not be a facility comparable to, say, Blue Ridge Arsenal. With only three lanes in the plan, it would have limited capacity, and it does appear that these lanes are part of a larger collection of tools intended for use by members with interests beyond just improving their marksmanship.

I spoke again with NRA today and will follow up further with their Range Development department. Perhaps we can find another business that will bring a community-oriented shooting operation to the county.

    Best regards,
    Stevens Miller
