Eye Doctor for Kids

    We are wondering if anybody has any good experiences with eye doctors and young children (3 yrs old)... we went to one in Sterling and it was a nightmare, but our one daughter needs to go and we need to find one...

    Let me know if you have any suggestions

    My 4 year old needed an eye doctor as well last year and we had a terrific experience with Dr. Bullard (sp?) at Northern Virginia Opthamology in the Ashburn office. 703-534-3900. Our pediatrician recommended him and he was great with our son.

    We use Dr. David Siedman. He is a ped. opthamolgist. He has offices in Fairax and Fair Oaks. We love him! My daughter has special needs and he can really get her to respond and cooperate for an exam. He is great with siblings that aren't there for eye exams as well. He let my other kids, who had to come with me, sit in the chair and did a mini exam on them. I can't ever say enough good things about him. Only one problem, sometimes hard to get an appointment, but that shows me he is doing a great job. We have been going to him for 13 1/2 years. (my daughter was 6 months old when we started.)

    My son loves Dr. Bullard too. Office very friendly and Doctor has awesome bedside manners. I used to go to Dr. Tina Butera, in Sterling, and she was not friendly with my son or myself and we're pretty patient layback people. Lots of Kudos for Dr. Bullard's office.
