broadlands north... centerpost sq (off demott)... townhouses on right after going over the greedway when entering broadlands on waxpool.

Your installation date and time are: Date: 07/16/2008
    Time: Between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m
we'll see how it goes! I'm going to ask them to hook up the router with ethernet instead of coax so I can use my own router if I want.

That's just on the other end from me; so hopefully they'll roll out going north on Demott towards me soon.

Let us know how it goes! We're expecting a write-up here about your experience! You're a pioneer! :pofl:

it's sad how we're in such a high tech area and still waiting for this... my mum's house in a rural area of Delaware has had it for 2+ years but not here.... *sigh* we'll see how it goes!

How did Verizon not pinpoint Eastern Loudoun County as a prime spot to build out earlier? The Dulles corridor has been considered the "Silicon Valley of the East" for many years now. At least they are finally recognizing it, but with each passing day I have to put up with Comcast I'm pulling more and more of my :censored: hair out :angryfire:

Because our area is expensive to dig in due to the rock. Other areas of Loudoun (like Leesburg areas) have had FIOS for awhile.

I have a few friends/coworkers that live in Silicon Valley (Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Campbell, San Jose in particular) that are waiting for FIOS and it's not yet available to them either so I am not sure Verizon is specifically targeting areas of tech concentration.

I live in Overland Park, and I received a letter in the mail on Thursday of last week, offering me the benefits of Verizon FiOS Triple Freedom. Of course when I called in, we still aren't able to get it. Verizon, STOP TOYING WITH MY EMOTIONS! (Thanks, all better now - NOT)

That's funny. When I moved here in June 2005 the person who took my order for phone service told me to expect it soon, probably within six months. That's certainly come and gone.

LOL! Verizon has been telling us 'Very Soon Now!" for years :pofl:

It's pretty exciting to actually see it so close to us now! It's been a long journey!

Yep, Boomertsfx lives in that same section of townhomes and is 'scheduled' for installation on July 16th. I would be curious to see if folks on the other side of the street, in the single family homes can get it, or if they would be served off of a different 'hub'...

A friend who lives in that brand new section of Broadlands on the corner of Belmont Ridge and Truro Parish JUST got FIOS last week!

Granted the area there is under construction, but if it's THAT close, maybe the right push can bring it further?

I also live in Overland Park and waiting for over a year now on Verizon to deliver Fios. Actually Fios is already in Overland Park. They started it a couple of months ago on Humboldt Square, but stopped after that.
    STOP TEASING ME!!!

welp, we're up and running with FiOS -- initial tests from speedtest.net were steady at 10380/1835 ... pretty nice! will post more once I hook up my main network (and VOIP) to fios and away from comcast.

I was planning on getting the 5/2 but I guess they upped the bandwidth on all plans so now 10/2 is the lowest and that's what I got.

BTW my current Cox "premium" tier is getting 6100/630 on speedtest.net. It costs $67 a month vs $47 (+ tax I guess) for "naked" FiOS Internet.

P.S. sorry for the slow info... we're grouting the kid's bathroom right now so I don't get to play with the FiOS much until that's done... :(
