They dug up on our street last Friday and started around 7:15, but were done by 5. I thought they did a good job of seeding and/or putting the sod down. They didn't have to do anything with our driveway. All in all - I would say it was a good experience. Does anyone know how long after they lay the lines it will take to get FIOS?

Digging up driveways (hopefully) is only an issue where on a street they are going down the front, and the driveways are too close to each other to get the 'push' gear in place (like a townhome driveway).

    Speculation...

Yea - I didn't see any driveways on our street that had to be dug up so you could be right.

Hi, just curious. Who are you using for your lawn to be aerated and overseeded. I too am looking to have the same thing done. I am on Chickacoan, so will wait until the work comes my way.

Not to change the topic, but they dug up my lawn and didn't do any sort of sodding or re-seeding, I still have bare patches 6 months later. Then when I called to get FIOs as it is available here they told me because of a couple of slow pays on my phone line (I do a lot of traveling for work and sometimes send in payments a little late) they told me I needed to give them a $400 deposit for the honor of geting FIOS and paying them more money.

I will be canceling all services with Verizon now.

I saw them on Chicacoan this morning. What kind of notification do they give you prior to tearing up your yard? Also, how careful are they on yards that have watering systems?

Seen on Chicacoan at 4:55 PM - 2 separate Verizon FIOS contractor crews dumping sod/rocks/dirt into the common areas on the way to Clyde's, right side of the path.
    Is that kosher?

To me, from your description, that would be considered illegal dumping, but that just my personal assessment. In the future, please contact the HOA offices immediately if you see anything like this occurring.

I've emailed Wes & Maureen and asked that this be looked into ASAP. Thanks for bringing it up.
