Anyone know why the flights have now changed and are going right over head? I have a home in the west wind crossing area and it is quite disturbing. They fly just about 500-700 feet above us now.

Runway 12/30 is closed for construction so that has created a change. Planes that want to go south depart north and immediately turn back to the south.

Cliff - can they climb any higher? - the noise and shaking of our home seems to be increasing in frequency (5PM-10PM) as of late with flights that seem to be heading in a north western pattern.

va cliff thanks for the info. Any idea how long this will take?

And 10? It's 10:30 now and still going. It usually stops about 11. I do believe this is breaking some sort of noise ordinance.

    Sarcasim...got to love it!

And to answer you hidden questions...the neighborhood was sold as a non flight path area.

    I didn't know that.

You have to admit though, you missed the airplane noise when flights were grounded after 9/11. The resumption of airplane noise seemed to bring back a sense of normalcy.

Interesting. I actually hear fewer planes lately than I'm used to. I don't mind them... and my kids love watching them. But we used to have the 5:00pm heavies right over our back yard. Haven't seen one in a while!
