    closed in July... :(
i am so sad that such a great business didn't make it. lousy location, and ppl just didn't get the concept that it really didn't cost more than cooking yourself!

    tyger31--

Speaking of food--did you read my post about apples called "Got Apples??..." under the thread "Area Restaurants..."? Check it out--we are offering apples from our farm and neighbors/friends. Sorry I hijacked your post.:)

I cook daily and find that it is easier and cheaper for us. Even before we had 6 kids--when we had just 4 kids--it worked out better for us. Of course, if it is a small family or no kids, that may differ. Every family and/or individual is different--

well i should have clarified- cheaper to cook those same meals thast they offered- and not the simple comfort meals, i meal the fancy ones with ingredients/seasonings you would likely not use again.

it definitely wasn't for everyone- but our small family of 3 that doesn't make much time to cook during the week, and enjoyed the variety of meals from EV- it worked out perfectly.

We went there a few times. We were pretty pleased. It's pretty hard running any bsuiness in this economy.

We took the whole family. You woiuld not belive how much fun it was to watch two teenagers who can be pretty jaded at times have so much fun! I think at one point Boy Child had us all singing "Hey Jude."

There is a sign in the window. It looks like a different business is going in there - I can't remember the name...The Right Meal or something?? Anyway, it says gourmet meals you cook. Not sure why anyone would try the same thing in the same place as one that failed:confused:

Anyone who enjoys this type of kitchen should try Dinner Done in Centreville. By far, the best and most original menus and recently voted best of Washington by the Washingtonian Magazine. Worth the drive! www.dinnerdone.com

My husband and I went to a private party at the Dinner Done in Centreville. We ended up throwing away half the food because the meat was such poor quality. I also don't like how they have the sauces already prepared in different containers. It makes for a lot extra storage space in the freezer.

Wow, I'm surprised. So far we've loved every dish we've tried and we actually found the beef fillet quality very good and tender. When I was there there was another group of women from Leesburg. I asked them why it was they drove so far and they said that after trying all the other kitchens in the area - they found dinner done to be the best in quality. But I guess there's definitely different outcomes no matter where you go - if you get a bad piece of steak at Morton's, you won't be too happy either.

    Hi guys,

She's actually a fitness trainer and a personal chef. She creates meals according to specific dietary/caloric needs. She and her staff prepare all the food and deliver. It is not a meal prep place where you go to assemble your own food. I wish her the best and hope it works out for her.
