Having had to buy these... the pharmacist is required to ask for ID, and enter data into her computer system from the ID card. You also need to sign your name to get the medication. Suppose if a minor has a fake ID they could still get their drugs but otherwise, yes, the pharmacists should refuse to sell. At that point, it's their license on the line... very few would be willing to risk their livelihood.

I concur; went to CVS last night to pickup some sinus meds and I had to present my drivers license. Took the cashier about 2-3 minutes to enter all the info before he could sell me the box. He indicated that they were required to track who is buying those types of meds, and how much they are buying over a period of time. He wasn't sure if it went into a 'centralized' state database or even national.

In a way, an individual would have to have access to multiple fake ID's in order to acquire a good amount of these meds and not raise any flags in the tracking system.

Why were these kids out in the middle of the night to start with??? From what you said, the parents really laid into them when they got there. Didn't they know where their kids were, esp. the ones so young, they should have been home in bed!! Good grief! And that "Rainbow Party" thing is quite disgusting!

Uhh, not sure how much you know about drugs, but if you're watching people smoke pot, you can tell. There's a bit of difference between a blunt/joint and a syringe full of heroin. But considering that these kids were doing it in a place where people could see them, I'd say that a visit from a sheriff really isn't going to make them stop. Maturity and responsibility are whats going to make them quit.

As for smelling the kid's clothes, personally, I wouldn't be stupid enough to leave my pot smelling clothes around where my mom could smell them...

Stupid enough to smoke the pot in public view :) but then become smart enough to hide it from the parents?

Yeah I would not link "smart" and "smoking pot" when describing these kids.

Well the "geniuses" were back today, unfortunately by the time I saw them, one of my neighbors chased them off. What time do the high schools get out? I'll start keeping my eye out more often.

you should call the non emergency line and report the nmbr of kids, the time you see them and where they were. a patrol to that area may result in a bust.

i bet you they wont be there anymore if they got chased away

    also.
the smell lingers in their hair much longer than their clothing.

6 pages on speeding in the neighborhood i buy as excessive! lol but allowing kids to get away with smoking pot in public is more like Live and Let DIE, or Live and Let Your Elementary School Kid Possibly See Teens Doing Drugs and Com Home Saying Mommy What's a Bong Hit?

    :)

it's illegal for better or worse, report it. when it's legal, Live and Let Live.
