My cable modem went down as of Sunday morning. I live near Hillside Elementary. Is anyone else in that area affected?

When I talked with an Adelphia support rep, he said there was an outage in Ashburn, but not in my locality and he set up a service call for Thursday.

Didn't see a problem on Sunday at all ... I'm off Marsh Creek !! Had a problem earlier in the week when there was a power outage for about 2 hours. Cable and internet were down for a while.

FWIW .. first time it was out in a few months.

When I came home from work yesterday (Monday) it was up. It is still up on Tuesday.
I'll wait until Wednesday to cancel the service call, as you never know when it will go down again.

When I was manning the polls at Hillside School this Tuesday, the cafeteria supervisor was telling us that the power was out there this past weekend long enough for their freezers to defrost.

Luckily, Monday and Tuesday were student days off, they didn't have to worry about feeding the kids, they would have been hurting Monday morning. Evidently, there's no generator backup.

FWIW ... this may have been the cause of the Adelphia outage, if power to their relay points was down. There was also power problems when the polls were open. We didn't notice it as the scanner/tabulator has a 1 or 2 hour battery backup built-in.
