Looks like Adelphia is changing their monthly pricing plans. Here are the 2-Way Powerlink changes:
2-Way with Basic service(if you currently subscribe to cable TV) - $42.95
    2-Way without Basic service - $54.95
    Cable modem lease - $3.00

Something else that caught my eye was the Adelphia Advantage packages which bundle their digital cable television and Powerlink.
Adelphia Advantage (Basic, Digital Cable, and 2-Way Powerlink) - $83.95
HBO Advantage (same as above plus HBO) - $83.95 (not a typo)
Total Advantage (same as above plus the rest of the Digital Premium channels) - $106.95

When I orginially moved to the Broadlands, Adelphia did not have digital cable deployed so I went with DirecTV. Now that they have the digital cable service I am curious to know how it compares to that of DirecTV (quality of signal, channels, receiver features, etc).

Anyone out there make the switch to Adelphia digital cable from DirecTV? What are the major differences? Is there support for high definition signals?

    Wes

I switched from Adelphia to Dish. Adelphia would have to offer the entire HBO/Premium package for free for me to switch back. Actually, no. I'd still stick with Dish now that I'm thinking about it. The picture is so much clearer, no ads on the stupid Adelphia menu, no showing the current channel in a window on the menu like Dish can, etc.

When you switched from Adelphia, do you know if you were using a digital cable box or the older 'analog' ones? I'd be suprised if it was digital cable box if it didn't have any on screen guide/channel functionality.

It had the onscreen guide. But it didn't (and still doesn't as far as I know) show a small TV window of the current channel thats on. Half of the guide screen was filled with ads.
