Did anyone else have their ADT alarm sound briefly (maybe 10 seconds) and then turn off around 3 AM Saturday morning? There were no intruders, no sign of anyone attempting to enter our home, no smoke, nothing. ADT didn't call us either as they are supposed to do if they receive an alarm indication. This is the first time I've owned a home with an alarm system, so I wasn't sure if this happens occasionally - or if I need to go through the process of speaking to someone at ADT.

Nothing like a spontaneous early hours ADT drill after a nice evening and a nice bottle of wine.

That sounds odd. I have had an alarm system for 6+ years and never experienced anything like that. The most I have had is beeping when there is a power outage or beeping with a monitor that needs to be replaced. I think I would call ADT if I were you.

We don't have ADT (we use Protect America), but our alarm did have a malfunction around 2:55AM on Saturday. When I called the monitoring company they stated it had something to do with our Internet connection and the new software pushed to our two control units.

I had to reboot the master control unit and our company said both of our units, window sensors, motion and video were good to go. Gven the recent middle of the night break-ins, you may want to contact ADT.

That is very odd and I would definitely call the security company. Unless someone triggered an alarm from the inside, then put in the access code to turn off the system, something sounds amiss. That is not normal. Perhaps there was a phone or internet issue as another resident stated they had.

Hmmm, could it be the meteor showers that set it off?
