I know everyone has heard about what happened in Asia recently. When I woke up this morning they said the death toll is now over 67,000, and I believe we still have a long way to go. Alone just imagine the disease that will be present as a result of this. It's truly heartbreaking.

I thought I would post a URL to make it easier for folks to donate, if you haven't done so already and were considering doing so:

    http://tinyurl.com/53dqz

    Thanks!

Thanks for the link. Does anyone know of any organizations that are collecting clothes or any other necessities?

I'd say look on the Red Cross website.

Some of our local Thai and Indian restaurants are also collecting monetary donations and sending them through specific relief organizations. There is a Thai restaurant over by Shoppers, and two in Ashburn over by Kirkpatricks, and Banjara Indian restaurant is there as well. I have not been up there yet but heard that they were collecting contributions for other organizations.

To make it even easier to give, amazon.com is collecting 1-click donations for the Red Cross. When I was on there, they had already collected over 1.8 million $$$.
