Haha, I apologized to the Onstar dispatcher for calling in a non-emergency, and he said it was fun and exciting for him! He stayed on the call the whole time and gave the sheriff GPS coordinates as I was following them around! He was awesome! I went on the Onstar site to see if there was a place for me to commend him, but could find nothing.

I have a small PO box at the post office for my shipments and all bills/investment info/etc. Its a small cost and worth the piece of mind knowing there shouldn't be ANYTHING of value coming to the house. Sometimes I literally don't walk the 10 feet to my mailbox for a few days!! Of course, I go directly to the recycle bin since the only thing I receive is junk mail at home.... :)

TeamDonzi- You rock as well. Now, could you identify the punks that egged my car? LOL Anyway, good job! We need more folks like you around! You've got kudos in my book! So glad that the items are going rightfully back to the right owner where it belongs!

Say.....my wife said that one of her packages went missing last year around December. Wonder if that is why it went missing...It was a computer related item and we asked the shipper and they reshipped the item to us (free, of course as they have insurance!).

Looks like these guys are back in action. A gold camry was spotted taking a package from a porch the other day in Brambleton.

My sister lives in Brambleton and sent me this :

A package was stolen from a Brambleton resident's front porch yesterday....only minutes after UPS delivered it. Her neighbor witnessed a man and woman pull up in front of her house and remove the package from her porch. They were
driving an older tan/gold Camry. The box was later found ripped and abandoned (minus its contents) a few blocks from her house. The police
are involved. Please keep a close eye on your packages, and report any suspicious activity to the police. Another neighbor in Brambleton received a UPS package today, signed for, and alerted the UPS driver, who said that the car sounded familiar.

Geez, I've been ordering stuff lately...MAYBE if I put a GIANT NRA sticker near my porch, they won't dare come to the door! Remember how castles had the gun sights shaped like a cross? Hmmm. I'd like to pepper the guy with Rock Salt and Cayenne Pepper! Heeeeheeeeheeee...

You know Tyger, they DID get caught red handed, which makes it more disturbing to hear that it's possibly the same car/same people/doing the same thing. Very brazen and I guess you're innocent until people get so sick of what you do that they shoot your a**. LCSO never took this guy to court as far as I know.

Or a setup like this (I kinda doubt this would make it through the modifications subcommittee)

Here is the weird thing happened to us. Few days after the incident. We had a package being delivered. Usually our cars parked in the garage with the doors closed. But it was one of those moments that we left it open for few minutes. Next thing is I walk out to the garage and there is a package on our steps right outside the door from our mudroom. My son was vacuuming his car for a while so I thought he took it from the UPS driver and just put it there. Later I found out he had no idea about the package. So it seems that the driver walked into the garage and put the package on the steps. I have seen them sort of put it right inside by the garage door before if it was open but not walking in all the way to the end of it. It looked like it was for a good intention but I still think it's not really appropriate for them to walk into your garage. If the garage door is open, obviously someone is home. They could have put it on our stoop which has a corner that is shield by the trees in the front..

My UPS man does the same thing. He'll walk at least half way into the garage and put a package in there especially if it's raining. It makes me feel a little weird, but at the same time I'd rather they do that than have someone steal it from the porch. Then again if I'm leaving the garage open I probably am inviting people to steal from it ;)

we've had the same UPS driver since we moved here 8 years ago. we get a lot of deliveries and most things get wet. he's always diligent about wrapping things in plastic when it's raining (as opposed to the FedEx Ground driver that completely ignores the "Keep Dry" sticker with a big umbrella on the box, and prefers to throw our things on our porch and leave them there in the pouring rain!). i have no problem with him going in our garage. though i might feel differently if it was a different driver every week.

I like the way the UPS guy delivers. If he leaves something in front of garage, he at least leans it against the wall more, and not the door. And always wraps if it rains. Fed Ex guy leans it against closed garage door for all to see....except for me! Just backed my car over a package... ;-(
