Anyone have HD Direc TV issues in Southern Walk?

My HD locals have not been coming in and they can't seem to find the problem...anyone else in the area stupid enough : ) to pay for Openband and Direc TV with HD issues so I can see if it's a foot print problem?

Just on the locals, the other HD channels come in fine.....thanks....

 

I am one of those stupid enough to pay both DVT & Openband - and our HD local channels are working fine

They can't figure out my problem and thought it might be an area issue....I'm on my 4th HR20 box..

 

have you had them check the "grounding" wire? I am sure that you have already reset your box, but try and unplug your box.

We had a similar issue with the DVR and the above steps managed to clear up the issues. Hope it helps.

 

I'm having HD locals issues on my HR20 -- can't get any of the 4,5,7,9, etc channels. -- I think the 99° slot LNB on the dish is dead -- I have the AT-9 dish , but thinking about getting one of the new slimline ones ... apparently you can sign up for their 'protection plan' and they will send someone out and replace what you need.. you might try that... Right now I just have a roof antenna hooked up so I can at least record the locals, but I think in Sep/oct there are a bunch of new national HD channels coming up on the new satellites

 

Thanks Boomer.....Same exact box, same exact issues.....I'll call them and tell them to see if it's a footprint problem, they're reluctant to replace my dish since my signal level is so high...I've got the same dish as you, they're adamant it's not the dish...the tech also said the locals come in on the 101 satellite, 99b is supposedly not live yet, but is where the new HD's will be...I'll let you know what I hear...
