If so, can you provide a brief review? I'm considering switching over (despite the imminent arrival of Verizon FIOS).

We had vonage for a ouple of years (2004-2006) and it was solid (on our Cox then Adelphia/Comcast and finally FiOS internet). We switched to another VoIP provider; mainly for financial reasons - the taxes on our $25 plan made our monthyl bil close to $33. As for the service - it was rock solid. But be aware that the service u get will mainly depend on ur Internet connection (speed and latency). Also, Vonage's CS was not the best in the world (long hold time, scripted responses from Tier 1 tech folks) but I rarely had to call CS.

If u havent don so already, u can check out the Vonage reviews at http://www.dslreports.com/reviews.

    Hope that helps.

we've had Vonage for over a year and like it. don't have any problems, reception is fine, price is around $30 a month, and we are satisfied customers! we don't use the phone a LOT- we use our cell phones most of the time.

we have viatalk .. $199/2 years (unlim local/ld).... it works well most of the time... and if we have any problems we still have cell phones to fall back on. I like FIOS for VOIP since you haev more wiggle room on the uplink speeds.

Vonage is great for a second line, but I would be hesitant to make it my primary line. Their customer service is horrible, and if you have any problem beyond the standard "reboot", don't expect a resolution.

I have had vonage for about 5 years now, and my caller ID still shows as Take out Taxi. I spent 4 hours attempting to fix it, and basically got a tech who understood my problem, found it as funny as I did, and had no idea how to fix it. At this point I gave up, since it is a second line and I all ready invested more time on the problem than I felt it was worth.

Other than that, the service has been as a reliable as comcast internet will allow it.

I have had vonage for 2 lines (two years) , one home and the other business. The service is fine and I have had two cusotmer service issues and both were resolved and the wait time and phone prompting is no different than any other customer service these days.

I've used Vonage before but looked for alternative and found Onesuite when I became fed up with its customer service. It turns out my calling habits suited Onesuite service well so I got to save more.
