Need Advice Appliance warranty

    My townhome (Van Metre) completed its 5 years in 2010. Since then I have been getting these home warranty offers in mail. They have been from my bank, AHS and a few other companies. They roughly run to dollar a day.(with 70.00$ service call). I was wondering if they are worth considering.
    Anyone had any experience with them ? Do they really cover all that they claim. At 5 years, should I be concerned my appliances, especially the HVAC.
