The information below was taken from the Daily Sheriff's Report for July
    21st.
    ---------------------
07/18/08- 2330 hrs. - Wild Meadow Ct. in Ashburn Farm
Prowler: A complainant reported seeing an unknown male in all dark clothing
walking around their residence. The suspect left the area.
    ---------------------
Below is additional information supplied from a homeowner on Wild Meadow
Court regarding the above incident (note that personal names were removed
    from the message):

Wanted to give everyone a heads up that last night we had a prowler in our
yard at around 11:30 PM. (Name) had a couple of her friends over and were
sitting on the back deck talking when (name) saw a person dressed in black
clothes holding a club watching them from our driveway. They all ran into
the house and (name) immediately turned on the back flood lights and saw the
prowler walking across our back yard carrying a club. The person was wearing
long black pants, long sleeve black shirt and a black ski mask. The club
looked like it was a rounded 2X4 about 2 to 3 feet long.

(Name) immediately called the Police and I went out with a spot light and
was not able to see the person. A few minutes later the Police arrived with
several cruisers, including sending cruisers up the W&OD trail from both
sides. They used night vision goggles, but were not able to spot the
prowler. I was glad to see that there was a pretty good response to the
call. After about a half hour, the Police stopped their search.

Afterwards, we talked to the Officer that made the report - come to find
out, on July 11th, a prowler was reported on Cherrystone Place, a residence
near Trail side park a little ways up the trail. In that incident, a prowler
apparently was sitting on the resident's back patio watching a group of
teenage girls through the basement window when one of the girls went out on
the patio to make a cell call and the prowler attacked her. Fortunately,
after a struggle, the girl was able to break free and get inside. In that
case, the prowler was described as a person wearing black long pants, long
sleeve black shirt and a black ski mask. His height was described at 5'7".
There was no mention of the prowler carrying a club.

We don't know if this prowler is the same person associated with the other
incident, but it sure seems like it considering the descriptions are
identical and the prowler seems to have an interest in teenage girls. One
thing that concerns us the most is the fact that if this is the same person,
he now is carrying a club, and doesn't seem to be concerned that once he
realized he was spotted, calmly walked along our back yard with all of our
    spot lights on...
