Is Ashburn Pub alright to take kids to?
Restaurant.com has them listed now so I thought we'd try it since it was close by. I'd imagine it's better to take them during the week if we were to go.
    Thoughts?

No, it's definitely not a place for kids. It's a bar.

They're definitely trying to be more family friendly; they have a kid's menu and a pool table and a few games (sports oriented). We went with our boys, they're older (10 and 13). Not a lot for kids to do there, though. Lots of TVs on the walls, all tuned to sports, and good lighting. The food isn't the best, and it seems the service is inconsistent. We may not be back with the kids, but it seems like a pretty good happy hour/sports watching place...

Are you asking about the Ashburn Pub in Ashburn Village or the Broadlands Sports Bar and Grill in Broadlands?

Sorry, I was confused . Disregard my post, it was about the Broadlands pub :)

    Thanks!
Sometimes you don't know. There's a place in Chantilly (Bungalow) that appeared to be strictly a bar as well but it turned out to be fine to take kids to.
I'm not necessarily looking for kids activities for them to do while we're there, but I wanted to see if it was just highly inappropriate or if it had possibility to take the family to. They don't seem to have a website that I could find.

And yes, I'm talking about Ashburn Pub in Ashburn Village.
We took the kids to Broadlands Pub about a year ago before they changed hands and walked right out. I thought it would be fine since they had a kids menu... uh.. NOT.

From what I've heard and seen Ashburn Pub is pretty much just a bar for adults. Check out their Facebook page to get an idea.
