Hancock Fabrics in sterling is going out of business. everything (fabric, notions, patterns etc.) in their store is 50-70% off. they have a rather huge selection of fabrics. There is a minimum 2 yrd cut on apparel fabric. Patterns are 70% off (which is not as good as the 99 cent pattern sales, but the quick sew ones are always excluded from those sales, and most summer type kids clothing is quick sew anyway), so about $3.50 each for any brand.

Don't hold your breath for discount thread, they are just about wiped out (unless you have a serger, plenty of serger spools).

just thought i'd pass it along in case anyone sews here, but obviously, it's not too popular in this area or the store wouldn't be going out of business, right? ;)

    sds and others--

Hancock Fabrics also has a store in Leesburg at the Shoppers Warehouse shopping center. I do not know if Leesburg Hancock Fabrics is closing also. They filed bankruptcy recently and are closing 104 stores.

www.hancockfabrics.com (Hancock Fabrics web site info.)

Check out store info for clearance sales.

    bwhahahahahahaha!

    that's punny!

i would have said seamstress, but it seems too limiting.

luckily, there are no sewer problems that I know of. Unless you count all the litter in the runoffs. ;)
