Everyone on this "forum" is always complaining about how awful the teens are within our community. I don't want to sound rude, but it's pathetic. I know for a fact that there a A LOT of nice teenagers in broadlands. Including the ones that are doing something for the community, working hard in school, and helping people out. Everyone posting is so stuck on the LITTLE things that are going wrong and have forgotten about everything good that is going on. "oh my god ding and ditch" Wow a kid just rang your doorbell and ran away. shoot me? If thats such a problem I suggest you move to a much more quiet neighborhood where people are likely to settle down and retire. Or even a neighborhood where there isn't a youth becuase I know damn right all of you did the same things when you were younger. I havnt seen one bit of action by all of those who post on here, besides the *****ing and complaining on this forum. I suggest you "regulars" of this forum decide to do something about the "gossip" you are posting about or honest to god get a life. Especially the ones that don't even live in Broadlands to begin with. You are acting like a bunch of middle school girls and your making things seem a lot worse than things really are.

Your IP has been logged and the police have been notified. [I wish]

Such a nice little rant for your first post, you seem to take it personally. I'd bet you are involved in the vandalism some how.

no honestly I'm against all of the teenagers doing bad things and hope they get caught and punished for what they are doing. I am just sick of the complaining with no follow through.

Follow thru how, exactly. Read the threads. They talked to their parents who stared back at them like they were zombies. Cops are too busy for petty issues. So if the the parents and cops wont do anything what is left to do legally? Some of these things the kids are doing are above and beyond pranks. The ding and dash turned into theft, broken windows and cut wires.

it doesnt matter what you think.

homer: I respect your concern for my post, which is why I posted it.

the thing is, the only thing I personally see parents doing is coming to this site and complaining.

    Niceguy,

You are correct, there are many outstanding, responsible young people in this community. They are family friends, or perhaps work in a local restaurant/place of business. We all read about their awards and accomplishments in the local paper. Unfortunately, a minority group of young people feel the need to cause trouble for whatever reason. "Ding and Ditch" is one thing, but recently, "pranks" have escalated to outright destruction of personal property -- attacks on Christmas decorations, busted taillights and windows on neighbors' cars, firestarting, and other more serious events. These actions must NEVER be tolerated in this neighborhood, and I believe you would agree with me on that point, right? Broadlands is a great community, and I believe most everyone would like to keep it that way.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday from school, and Merry Christmas.

That's because a lot of the parents there are aloof idiots with a head-in-the-sand "MY BABY WOULD NEVER DO THAT" attitude about their children. And it's not just there, that kind of parenting is the reason for 90% of problem kids...they know they can get away with it.

You don't see parents of the kids coming here and complaining, you see adults being harassed and inconvenienced by these kids coming here and complaining...and as a non-guardian, what more can these adults do? Nothing.

Find me a post where someone has said "Oh my kid is a bastard, help me!"

no parent in the right mind would come to a forum and talk about their kid like that in the first place.

okay well if the "ninety percent of parents" have that problem. then why would we leave it up to them to punish their kids? why wont you do something about it? I'm concerned with these problems but you seem overly concerned and also seem to have a lot of spare time. will you do something about it then?

So you're advocating vigilante justice and punishment of other peoples kids? Why not bring back stocks and put them in the middle of one of the parks there and lock kids in them...parents too.

There's something out there, maybe you haven't covered it in your school yet, they're called: "Laws" and they state you can''t take matters into your own hands.

Oh, someday you'll grow up and learn the in's and out's of the justice system and how lawsuits/criminal charges work.

I like this guy. He over everyone that has posted on my original post has agreed that there are good teens present in broadlands.

about that. I, most likely common to you, have graduated from college and am a resident of this community. I don't need to give out personal information though.

Nobody is disagreeing that there are good kids in the neighborhood, but that you can't parent other people's children and that you can't go door-to-door with a pitchfork and torches dispensing a little alternative parenting of your own.

no where in my post did I see anything that relates to what you just posted.

again I am a college graduate and a resident.

Where did you get that idea. You can patrol? You don't need to spy to watch over an area? You don't need to use physical agression to break up a crime in the act. and maybe if your into that kind of justice then fine do it. Like homer stated earlier
and if spiderman can do it, why can't you?

"Judging by your grammar you did not go to a good college!"

T8erman may be correct, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess you are somewhat new to the U.S. and you are continuing to learn English.

My sincere apologies if this was the case.
