Attached is some information from the NOVA Parks / Loudoun Water info meeting on Wednesday about the future of Beaverdam Reservoir.

They will be building a 1000+ acre park near the park office, just behind the ball fields. This is phase 1.

    It includes:
    • Main pavilion (boat storage and more)
    • 100 person capacity pavilions
    • 200 parking spaces in main lot
    • 8 mile hiking trail
    • Boardwalk
    • Footbridge
    • Rental facility (Canoes, kayaks, paddle boats)
    • Two docks
    • And more... (nature areas, clearings, etc)
Access at mount hope road (next to the church) will open back up (and the reservoir refilled) once construction on the dam has been completed. No ETA. Park itself is slated to be completed mid/late 2019. Currently they are on schedule.

The architects, Nelson Byrd Woltz, have done similar projects. One they showcased (photos below) is the Summit Bechtel National Scout Reserve in WV. It looks very impressive, as does their plan for Beaverdam.
