    Hello - Does anyone have an update on the status of Belmont Ridge Road? It is a disaster waiting to happen especially between Truro Parish and Briar Woods HS. There were 2 accidents last week. Is it going to be widened to at least 4 lanes? When? Are they going to add any traffic lights at Truro Parish and/or Croson? All I see is more home building and minimal updates to the roads. Scary and Frustrating!

    Good luck finding one site that shows everything you want to know. I take this route daily and it is dangerous and frustrating to say the least. I often check brambleton's site plan along with the Loudoun County online mapping site. The best bet maybe to contact your local gov't rep for answers such as these. I've had good luck getting answers out of Letourneaux.

    Of course if the Broadland's Hospital had been approved that road would already be built. Without taxpayer money. Only part of the tragedy.

    @Loud,

    Here is an pretty detailed "editorial" from the Wash Post's Tom Jackman. His story has links to several resources.

    I have attached the May 2012 - Loudoun County Board of Supervisors - Northstar & Belmont CPAM Item (pdf file).

    If you post what is the exact info you are looking (such as VDOT's construction time line, County action, CTB loans etc) for I will go through my "Belmont" folder and see if I have it.

    Would've been smarter to widen BRR instead of refinish Claiborne, which was fine as is.

    Belmont Ridge is being widened between Broadlands Blvd and Truro Parish. This includes a light at Truro Parish. It is being built with proffer dollars from the surrounding communities. Expect to see construction start next year.

    Not sure if there is any plans soon to widen from Truro Parish to Croson.

    A light has been approved for Croson, but not sure when it will be installed. I would guess in the next two years.
