Del Ray paid for the front page in Clipper, I wouldn't think they'd do that if they're selling. I was actually thinking to stop by and give them a third chance to see if they're putting some more effort into the place.

if they paid 3 months ago for that front page, i'm sure they didn't know what was coming... manhattan's probably more than makes up for the losses Del Ray must have brought along with its failure.

I had dinner there this evening. And service was top-notch. Order was promptly taken, food came quickly, iced tea glass was filled twice before it was even empty, and chip basket was also promptly refilled.

They clearly have not closed and have a 'Help Wanted' sign posted on the door.

They may not have the greatest food, but I think their salsa is quite good, and I've certainly had worse (Anita's, Don Pablo, and many others). I'd hate to lose the in neighborhood Mexican option.

I'm all for a decent Barbeque place coming to the neighborhood. Perhaps they'll take that pad site that has been only producing weeds. That end of the shopping center could use more customer traffic.

OH good! I was hoping it wasn't closed. Del Rey is not bad, compaired to other places around here. The Mexican Garden in Sterling is great but it's not going to last in that location. Hard to find for most people and it's kinda out of the way. Then again? El Chorizta in Leesburg is good, but I haven't been in a while.

went to mexican garden today and have to say we weren't terribly impressed. i had the chicken taco and enchilada lunch combo and it was flavorless. my hubby had the pork chimichanga and thought it was okay. maybe we should have had margaritas first ;-)

Went to Del Ray Friday night for the first time in 9 months. Found it much, much better (and more crowded). Fajitas were not as good as Mexican Garden's, but the burrito and salsa were definitely. Will start supporting them again if I get a repeat performance next time.

Del Ray is closing- we were there Tuesday and they were planning on shutting down Sunday and reopening as a BBQ place......I am bummed because we really liked that place!

I was one of the few who always liked the place, especially their lunch buffets. I heard rumors of this a while ago and am sad to hear it is going to happen.

I have to admit though, of all types of restaurants which could be replacing it, a BBQ joint is a refreshing change of pace!

I for one, will be happy to give them my business if they can serve some decent BBQ.

Has anyone tried the BBQ where Parlows used to be? Carolina BBQ I think it's called?

Sorta....They catered an event in WVA last year that I was at. Really good food, but I have not actually tried out of their store.

Carolina BBQ is quite good--I think their pulled chicken is the best. Grew up on that stuff!
