Well we drove around looking at all of the Christmas lights tonight. Just wondering if anyone has a "must see" street in Ashburn for Christmas Lights?

Best street in my opinion is still Juniper in Sterling. All you see in Ashburn are white lights and wreaths. Not a whole lot of "personality" in the lights in Ashburn.

From the nature center turn right on Waxpool, then go down the hill and make a left on to Liverpool. Drove thru recently and was pleased with what I saw, but of course I am sure someone will disagree there are more elaborate decorations in the area.

This topic reminds me of when I used to live in Maryland, we used to take a drive down to Silver Spring near the border with DC. There is or was this one house on a corner, the name of the intersection escapes me. What I do remember is that every year just about they would to make the news, maybe they still do, does anyone remember???

fido, all you see is white lights because colored lights aren't classy =) They are tacky IMO ;) Remember, lights on trees used to be candles.... candles aren't red, blue, green, etc =)

There's a really 'festive' house on the corner of Ellzey & Claiborne. :)

My personal favorite is at the intersection of Claiborne and Broadlands Blvd. It looks to be some kind of colored lights. Red, yellow, green :)

I put a christmas tree in house because my kids like it and I do have colored lights on it.They asked me one quetion WHy do people decorate a tree during Christmas? so I asked many people this question and were surprised that they did not know. I looked it up and found this link very interesting for those of you who know and dont http://www.christmas-tree.com/where.html

Classy or not it makes my kids happy they love decorating it and it is not my tradition but we like christmas time as we see a lot of people when we go out and everyone seems happy .

In the Regency off Waxpool and also off Shellhorn there a bunch of beautifully decorated homes for the Holidays, especially in the middle of the neighborhood.

Anyone know who's maintaining the tree off Waxpool before the Community Center (I believe that's the neighborhood Christmas tree)? There's a new strand of lights blown out on it every morning when I drive by:)
