Found! Black dog with white chest at Moorefield ES

POSTED FROM A NEIGHBOR ON FACEBOOK- do you know anyone missing a dog that fit's this descriptions? CALL ANIMAL CONTROL TO CLAIM HIM.

"A black dog with white on its chest was found at Moorefield Station Elementary School this morning. It had a leg injury due to having been hit by a car. We had to call animal control because the children were coming. He is a Labrador/pit bull mix, probably about one and super friendly even though it was in pain. Does anyone know someone who owns a dog like this? The animal shelter people say that he has to be claimed in ten days or... It's not good because he appears to have pit bull in him. He is so sweet. All he wanted to do was kiss faces even though it was obvious he had just been hit by a car"

Does Animal Control check for chips? Their website doesn't mention it; micro-chipping doesn't seem to do much good unless the county actually checks for it
