Please email jentimc@smartneighborhood.net with your name & phone # if you are available to help us out tonight from anywhere between 5:30-9:30pm. Volunteers have to be 21 or older!

I just saw HLS (the landscaping company) gathering up all the signs that were on Claiborne in Southern Walk, tossing them in their truck, then driving away.

 

No one has volunteered yet and we are down to the eleventh hour.
We need people to volunteer 30 minutes to band people coming into the beer garden (check IDs).
If you are going to be at the show anyway- it would really help if you can spare a few minutes to help out.
We do not have enough committee members to do this job.
This is something you can do while your spouse sits/dances with the kids for 30 minutes. My husband watches the kids at the show while I do stuff and I still get to see them plenty. So if you have small children- you can still do the job- a little tag-teaming goes a long way to support our "village"!

If you have a teen who would like to facepaint for 30 minutes tonight that would be helpful as well. We really need help here too.

Please call me ASAP to volunteer. We will not be able to continue to get our ABC license if we cannot follow the rules properly. This means we need to check everyone's ID if they are drinking.

Call me - it will be fun!! A great way to meet your neighbors (and hey- if you're single- a great way to initiate conversation with people?)

Star Wars?

 

Ha Ha! Sunny and others - congrats, last night was so much fun! We enjoyed ourselves very much. It also looked like it was a great turn out for the bands and our sponsors. One change that made everyone in our family so very happy this year was the facepainting. Loved the simple designs and SHORT lines! As beautiful and intricate as they were last year we always dreaded the mandatory 1-hour wait in line. I'm glad it wasn't the case this year!

 

Are you LIKE,TOTALLY ready to rock?? This coming Friday the 18th is Broadlands Live's 80's dress up night! Breakout your 80's gear & lingo and rock out to the Backseat Betties & Gonzo's Nose starting at 5:30pm!:signsrockon:

We have totally tubular 80s memorabilia to give away like rubik's cubes, movies like naked gun, dirty dancing, gremlins, and even a copy of the book The Color Purple. But you can't win if ya don't play (er, dress-up).
Come check out The Backseat Betties- they are so cool and really fun. And EVERYBODY knows GOnzo's Nose and how much fun they are. The show starts at 5:30! Later, skaters!
