IT'S TONIGHT!!!! Milkshake is ALL over Noggin "I got a bottle of sunshine....." - and they are going to be here tonight!! Then Hi-Octane is an 11 piece band with a horn section...they will totally blow you away (pardon the pun)! Hi-Octane plays an awesome "My Old School" by Steely Dan and I can't wait to hear it tonight.
Facepainting, food, friends, fun! Bring your ID and picnic of drinks (no glass bottles). Domino's, Bluz Bros Bbq, and Best Shave Ice will be selling food so bring a little cash:)
I suggest walking to this event.
    See you all there!!! www.broadlandslive.com

Thanks for organizing yet another amazingly well-done Broadlands Live! We had fun!

I posted some pictures on my site: http://immotionphoto.com/gallery/8537171_iyDMy. We could only stay for the first two acts because it was getting late for the little ones.

You can download any of the pictures for free (use the menu that pops out when you put your mouse over the image). I don't profit in any way from these photos. I welcome any critiques, too!

I know you guys set this up so people can come "right after work" on Fridays, but I am sure I am not the only one with a long commute that makes it difficult to bring our preschooler to the opening act. It would be nice if this could be on Saturday or Sunday sometime. Or maybe move it a little later?

It looks like fun -- maybe we can try to make part of the next one!

i emcee the event (4th year running!) and always take a few hours off work to get there. it's only 1 Friday a month, and i know that's not an option for EVERYONE, but it's an event worth leaving work for! ;)

if we went later, i think the NEXT post would be from people who live within earshot complaining that it goes on TOO late!

i don't know why Fridays were originally chosen, but there is SO much to compete with over the weekends- Friday nights just seem to work.

there is never any way to accomodate every schedule, but the turn out we had last night was fantastic! i hope you can get out of work a few hours early for the July show, pamD- it will be worth it... reggae mon!

thanks to everyone who came out last night- WHAT FUN.

    Hey all--
Here is a link to all the photos from June and July. I thought I had posted it here before, but couldn't find it anywhere:

    http://amieottophotography.zenfolio.com/f121878238

Also, I was giving away a $50 gift certificate at each show--Allison Sherry and Tanya Brennan were the winners for June and July. I have not heard back from either of them so far, so if you know them let them know to contact me!

I just had to post that my family, friends and I had THE most awesome time tonight at the VIP show! I am hoarse from singing along and I danced my patootie off. Please, please invite the band back next year. That is the most fun I've had in a while. Thank you, Broadlands Live!
