Any chance we can extend this to every Friday evening or twice monthly if large enough interest?

The possibilities are endless! Based on turnout and funding, we will have to see if that can happen next year[8D]

I love Gonzo's Nose - very fun music. I've seen them lots of places but last saw them at the Herndon Friday Night Live last summer. They do a good family friendly show that kids seem to love dancing to.

I concur! Gonzo's Nose is great! I actually tried to get them to play my wedding, but they've gotten "too big" for those kinds of gigs.

I encourage everyone to go out and see them -- a great kick off for this new summer event.

Does anyone know what time the band starts playing for this? The concert website is not so helpful.

Sounds like fun. My family plans to attend. A few questions:
Are there any plans to have Police/Sherrif department personnel on site during this event? Since this is open to the General public, and seems to be widely advertised it seems that there could be traffic concerns. More importantly, since alcohol is permitted I see this as an invitation to possible problems. Don't get me wrong. Nothing wrong with Adults kicking back and having a few beers, listening to music, and enjoying their friends and family. That's what this event seems to be about. But:
    1. This is a "Rock" concert.
    2. Alcohol is permitted
    3. This is open to the General Public and is "Free"
If I were to hedge my bet, After Fridays event, there will be no more alcohol permitted at the future concerts.

Well these are all valid concerns. We will have police plus additional security. We will have a designated drinking area.
I hope that everyone will do their part to ensure that we are able to obtain ABC permits for ALL events.
    See you all there!!!

Last night was great.... a ton of Fun. Just one complaint, the drinking area was not large enough. Another nice thing would be to have someone selling beer so that there is no so many coolers. Cant wait till next month, wish they were more often.

Last night was great!!! I agree the drinking area was a bit small... I have been to these live concerts in Herndon as well, I don't recall them having a roped off area, but it was very clear that beer, etc, could only be consumed in the bands area... Perhaps signs could be posted around the sidewalk areas, thus creating an area that isn't roped off, but is still very clear where alcohol is allowed.

Great turnout as well, and the weather held! Thanks to all that volunteered, it was a fantastic event!!!

    Gonzo's noze was excellent!!! Thanks!!!

Glad so many turned out! There were at least a thousand people there and eveyone had such a nice time, without incident! It was a great success and the band was awesome. Texacan's BBQ was great, the pizza was great, and did you see all the kids with those crazy twisty lollipops??

We hope everyone will come out July 16th. We could also DEFINITELY use some volunteers for security, setting up, breaking down, etc.

If you would like to volunteer for this event please check out the website www.broadlandslive.com for contact info.

We also gave away a gym membership from Ladies Workout Express and a Broadlands Live! t-shirt to the first neighbors that arrived. We will be giving away a ton of other prizes throughout the series, and if your company would like to donate something to be given away, please email me or check the website for contact info. We thank all sponsors and donors on our website and announce them at the shows.

The next band will be Hi-Octane and the Texas Chainsaw Horns- they are totally high energy, really fun and play all of the songs you know and want to hear. 11 people in this band!! Mark your calendars, I'll see ya there!!
