    Hello,
Bo again from the Broadlands Pub.

Does anyone in our Broadlands Shopping Center have cable modem, or DSL. I am trying to get an answer from Adelphia, but they keep telling me to wait until they hear back from the construction survey crew.

Its been 6 weeks now without any answer. I'd like to get broadband for the business which would process credit cards almost imeadiately, and give us wireless capabilities that we could pass on the everyone else.

If anyone knows what I can do to get Broadband, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks alot,
    Bo Chao

The only thing available in Broadlands north is Adelphia Cable. DSL is not available AFAIK. There is cable in the area around your location, but I suspect that Adelphia is looking to see if they can get it to your location without having to dig through pavement.

FWIW ... if you're trying to work with Adelphia using their 800 number, I'd advise heading over to the local office instead. They have a better feel on what is available in the local area over the 800 number service located who knows where !!

Yea, with adelphia never go thru the 800 number. They don't know anything about the local company. I learned that after dealing with them for a while. As far as I know there is no local number for them. You will have to go to the local office where the cable modem people are at.

Another option would be a fractional T1 starting at about $300/mo. But for CC processing and light use it may be more than you need. However, for the ~$170 premium over Adelphia's "business" service you do get a real business connection with an SLA.
