Choppers? (Merged was Friday Night?)

For the 2nd time tonight - a very noisy chopper with search light is over head.

Maybe the choppers were flying low checking out the "bad flex" buildings that Lee despises in Loudoun County? Just a thought--

Now now Now Foodie I don't despise the flex buildings they are an important part of our economy in Loudoun. What bothers me is where some of them are being built as our front doors to our county. The very least they should be designed far nicer and landscaped far better if they need to be at the entrances to loudoun and in our faces. Give me a prominent site where they plan to build some flex or industrial and I guarantee you if I put enough thought into it I could come up with something that we would be proud to see there. Another example the waste treatment plant on 123 on the old lorton prison property is beautifully done and blends in quite well. and that cost almost a billion dollars where most of the money went in to nuts and bolts of the treatment plant but they did leave enough to make the design acceptable to the future neighbors it is a good neighbor waste treatment plant Our new plant on loudoun county parkway is A for effort by it misses the mark in design not near as a good neighbor design as the lorton one is. And they do the same thing the one in Lorton the designers put a lot more thought into being a good neighbor and the Loudoun one tried but the architect looks to be a person that would of made a better engineer then designer..

Same problem and same function in both plants but the lorton plant wins hands down in design and being a good neighbor.

this is the 3rd or 4th night i've heard them too. maybe it's some sort of training, because it seems to be at around the same time.

Two have landed on Broadlands Blvd and the fire trucks have the road blocked off. There's one right behind our house and the ambulance just backed up to it.

Something happened over at or near Clydes. It sounded as though, after having the helicopter circle the neighborhood a few times they landed somewhere in front of Clydes. I will let you know hwat I find out.

Lot's of emergency vehicles were at the Broadlands shopping center before the helicopter flight.

we came home about 1115, and didnt see anything. We drove past the Broadlands shopping center. when did this happen?

I have a call into the sheriffs office as well as Kraig Troxell to find out what happened. A neighbor of mine called Clydes as they thought this was related to the restaurant but someone from CLydes told her that there was a stabbing at the Broadlands Shopping center. I am trying to confirm this and will let you know what I find out.

Could it be from some patron at our wonderful steak place. Hopefully not but welcome to the new suburbia and you all are upset by a shelter. Just look at what is happening out here lately several beatings and gunshots fired thru a residence. Has suburbia now such a success that the lower element now wants to participate in an evil way to show us we are not immune form their evils. Well success not only attracts success but also people wanting to destroy the success. Our very little patrolled strip centers can become the new breeding ground for crime. They are quiet and at night very enticing for the evil doers especially the 24 hr grocery stores.

Hopefully these are not future trends that will happen more and more frequently. Urban centers such as Reston are better patrolled then our streets and retail out here. Could it have been even someone that is working in one of our flex and industrial places that are very very close by hmmmmmm??? Maybe not this time buttttttttttt................................
