Just a reminder and invitation to join us tonight at Hillside Elementary for a Parenting Workshop that is unlike other parents workshops you've been to. Even guys will enjoy it :)

We're going to uncover 3 Common Myths about Homework & Learning that will help your kids in school, talk about developing internal motivation and learn what to do when your daughter rolls her eyes or your son says, "Whatever."

My promise to you? You'll laugh a lot, experience several "Ah ha" moments when the lightbulb goes off and walk away with a dozen very practical strategies that will help your child at home and in school. Plus it's FREE and there is no need to register :)

    Workshop for Parents & Teachers
Keys to A Stress-Free Home & School Year

Do you want your child/student to take responsibility for his homework, morning routine and chores? Need help channeling defiance and disrespect into internal motivation? Ready to calm your explosive household? Want to learn 10 Brain Boosting strategies to help your students in class?

Join us for a humorous, practical workshop with best-selling author and nationally-recognized expert Kirk Martin, who has trained over 40,000 parents and teachers. Celebrate Calm specializes in working with intense children.

Martin will provide practical strategies to:
    · Create a Stress-Free home-eliminate yelling, arguing and whining.
    · Improve focus, attention and behavior in class.
    · Create stress-free discipline and homework time.
    · Channel disrespect and defiance into positive experiences.
    · Develop vision, motivation and responsibility in teens.
    · Relieve anxiety and sensory integration issues.

Medication, nutrition and sibling issues will also be discussed. A Q&A session will follow the Workshop. The Workshop is FREE to the community. Teachers, parents, grandparents and all caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Tuesday, October 28 Parents & Teachers Workshop 7:00pm-9:00pm

Thank you so much for coming out. We apologize for the lack of seating and appreciate everyone's patience. We were really impressed by the number of teachers who volunteered their time to attend as well.

Check the website at any time for more free workshops in the area (Annandale, Chantilly and more) coming soon. And hopefully we'll get in to train the teachers right here in Broadlands as well.

    Thanks again!!
    Kirk
