Has anyone else been following the "saga" of Mount St. Helens' continuing eruption? You can view a "live" image of the volcano at the following link: http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/

The image refreshes every 5 minutes or so. Mount St. Helens has been in a constant state of "eruption" since October, and has been slowly leaking ash/steam over the last couple of weeks. It is undergoing what is known as a "dome building event," in which lava has been extruding into the crater formed by the 1980 eruption, causing the mountain to rebuild itself. Pretty cool stuff.

Anyway, when the sun rose today it was obvious that the volume of steam/ash coming from the volcano had increased significantly. We may be watching the beginning stages of a larger eruption! It's all so exciting!!!
