DSLReports is running a news report that Cox is interested in buying Adelphia.

Before you think this might be a good move, check out that Cox has bandwidth caps on their service as opposed to unlimited (beyond news service) on Adelphia.

Say it isn't so! I had Cox when I lived in Herndon. They are terrible. Had major issues with them.

I don't know... I like working for a bankrupt communications company (*cough*MCI*cough*) and getting my internet from another bankrupt company.... you know, to keep things consistant!

    Update on DSLReports:

    http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/44078

"While Cox, Time Warner and Comcast have all shown interest in acquiring portions of the Adelphia network, Liberty Media is also now showing some interest. Speaking to investors last week, Liberty's CEO Robert Bennett said his company would entertain the thought of some Adelphia market grabs, provided they could acquire some systems in a joint bid with Cox. Comcast and Time Warner Cable have also been discussing a joint bid where they'd divvy up the Adelphia markets that most interested them."
