Noticed that there is a "Your Speed" machine on Broadlands Blvd with a 35mph sign. When did it drop down from 45?

    So here's the history......
When Broadlands Blvd was first built and under Developer control, the speed was initially set at 45mph. Some residents near it complained about the speed, so the Developer reduced it to 35mph, even though it was planned to be 45mph.
The road was turned over to VDOT...who then led to more confusion. They posted some 45 mph signs, but failed to remove some 35 mph signs. I have made numerous calls to VDOT (all of which went unanswered) to please fix the inconsistency.

If I'm not mistaken its current state is:
Westbound there are no speed limit signs posted.
Eastbound, there is a 45mph sign right when you enter from Belmont Ridge, then a 35 mph sign a few blocks down.

VDOT can't fix this simple issue, but they will tear up and repave a perfectly fine Claiborne Parkway!

I think there is a similar situation on the road that goes by Home Depot (between Ashburn Parkway and Loudoun County Parkway). I swear I saw 45 mph signs (on both sides) and 35 mph heading west. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought I saw.

Update: I noticed brand new 45mph signs on westbound Broadlands Blvd near Claiborne.

I think it might be 35mph until you pass west of home Depot then it goes up to 45mph.

It has to do with the residential areas. It is 35mph around the apartments and possibly the entrance to the community (I forget the exact location) but 45mph down near the data warehouses.
