I'd like to get my driveway sealed and have noticed that Academy and Collegiate seem to be the 2 companies that seal just about all the driveways in the area. Other than comparing the prices of the 2 companies, can anyone provide a recommendation or reason that I may want to choose one company over the other? Thanks.

Tried that but wasn't able to come up with anything on Collegiate. A few people had used Academy but I was also curious if anyone had used Collegiate. Thanks.

I, too, have used Collegiate several times. Last year, they came out and applied sealer on what was forecast to be a clear day. Well, after they left, it started raining - misting, really. The sealer didn't dry and they came out and resealed it on a dry day - no charge. Shouldn't have been a charge, I know, but I think some companies would have tried to say the sealer would be just fine.

I have used Collegiate a few times, no problems. I would use them again.

We are thinking about adding 12 inches to the one side of our driveway. The grass is dead there as we have to drive on it in order to get out of our garage.

Any suggestions on a company that would add the 12 inches of asphalt and seal it?

I've used both and thought Academy did a better job, was more careful about splashes, etc. I believe they were also slightly less expensive.

Those links are over 3 years old and point to older outdated material. Use the link provided by Curtis.Noel above.

I edited my original post from 2007 to reflect the new links/locations.
