Dulles Airport Runway Expansion Open House

    Hi folks-
    There will be another open house to present information about the expansion of Dulles airport.
    It will be on Tuesday, October 7, 5-8pm at Farmwell Station Middle School. There is no formal presentation, so you can stop by at any
    time.

    Just curious..What part of the airport is expanding? Does this mean there will be more planes flying over us?

    Addition of 2 new runways. It's what I read somewhere. Not sure of the flight path. More and more communities are being built around Dulles Airport. Not sure what kind of opposition Dulles Airport might face. I'm curious to know where these runways will be and what else is being purposed.

    They are adding another north-south runway that will be about a mile west of the 2 current north-south runways. They are also building another northwest-southeast runway that will be south of the current one. This one will essentially parallel Rte 50.
