Maybe because there are customers like me, who is there several times a week, and I have yet to buy a single donut.

If you're a donut store you better have at least SOME donuts available at all times, even if it's close to closing time. I don't like to waste food so to me that means you just make less, not none at times you expect slower sales. I don't go to DD very often but I certainly would expect to find some donuts there whenever I go... :screwy:

Sadly, I agree. There is always something when going to the DD. It's soft serve machine is broke, can't have a Coolata machine is broke, there was a recall on milk, they have been out of doughnuts on several occasions or out of the specific kind my child will eat. They were out of ice cream birthday cakes....they have been out of gift cards on more than one occasion.

I do the same... I go in 5 times a week for coffee, no donuts. Unfortunately coffee alone won't sustain this business. Unless they have donuts to sell, there won't be coffee much longer...

Was just in today and was told by an employee that they are cutting payroll checks but are advised not to cash them since there is nothing in the account. So instead they take from the cash drawer...

What the heck is going on over there? How can you run a business like this? :conf2:

    - On a positive note, there was a rack full of donuts.

why would an employee just volunteer this information? we need "Jimmy" to chime in and give us the situation. didn't he/she basically just admit to stealing too? not wise.

Would be great if Jimmy would chime in. It's been months.

The employee volunteered the information because I'm a frequent customer who often asks how the business is going. I would really be upset if they closed, so when I see things like constantly changing management, empty cake freezer, and the now famous "zero donuts for sale", I always ask what's going on, which inevitably leads to a longer conversation about the well being of the business...

of you know me- and know that i am a local biz supporter to the core. but when you clearly burn the food and serve it to me anyway, likely since i'm in the drivethru and will be too far away to return it by the time I see the mess you gave me- you lose my biz. period. this is your third strike with me DD. i can disappoint myself with a lousy breakfast on my own without paying YOU do it for me.

Maybe Jimmy isn't the manager anymore. He would always answer questions/problems brought up in this forum.

He wasn't the manager.. he was the owner/franchisee. He operated this and 2(?) other locations.

well i hope he realizes the unacceptably LOW level of QC at this store. after all the drama around opening this place, to see such a lack of concern for what they give the customers is really sad.

they have practically no competition, are walking distance for hundreds and biking distance for hundreds more, and should have been a slam DUNK for success- no pun intended. :)

i don't want to see it go away- i want to see them STEP UP and give it a real effort. really disappointing.

I'd be really happy if they didn't close. We don't go there all that often, but it would be a shame.

If you go the Dunkin Donuts webpage and look under stores for sale it has this location listed along with 2 in Sterling.
