What's up Lee, no witty adages or comments? :D

2 weeks in a row your team is/has looked VERY pedestrian.

Jessica Simpson is ruining Romo's concentration.

I'm sure she'll console poor Tony after this loss. Wow, Lee, the Cowgirls lost to the Eagles?!

Just hope they lose again and the Packers win out, so they can meet at Lambeau Field where all playoff games should be held!

In the Cowboys' defense, we did get some injuries during the game that didn't help any. Romo seems to have a bad thumb on his throwing arm, too.

That said, it was a disappointing game to watch as a Cowboys fan. They didn't play their best, obviously.

40 years since the "Ice Bowl" ? Although I would love to see Dallas lose early in the playoffs, Dallas vs. Green Bay for the NFC Championship at Lambeau would be very cool.

The cowboys are just resting up for the playoffs:happygrin:

Besides my buddy went to Dallas this weekend to visit his daughter and he jinxed them as he is a die hard redskin fan, like most of you.

Lee, if all it took was a Redskins fan visiting Dallas to cause the Cowboys to lose, I would be planning 16 trips to Dallas every Fall

Wow you dislike the cowboys big time. Personally I don't dislike the redskins I am just a Cowboy fan first. But if it came to a super bowl and the cowboys were out of it and the redskins were in it, I certainly would be for the redskins hands down.

nobody likes a suck up, lee...just like you can't be a yankees fan and a red sox fan, you can't like the cowgirls and the redskins...you don't truly love one unless you hate the other! so don't go all guliani and hillary on us here...

I am a Cowboys fan but not a Redskins enemy - it can be done! The only reason I care if the Redskins win or lose is when it affects the Cowboys' rankings or when they're playing the Cowboys.

It would be nice to see the local team win a Superbowl, even if it isn't my favorite team.

Hey, I'm agreeing with Silence again  Perhaps it's because I lived through the peak rivalry years of the '70's and '80's, but you simply cannot call yourself a fan of the Redskins and say that you have anything other than contempt for the Cowboys (I've always thought Cowboys fans were a bit of a bandwagonning bunch, so maybe the same doesn't hold true for Cowboys fans as it relates to the Skins).

Are you feeling okay, Madcat?! Go to the politics forum and you'll feel more like yourself then  Hope you enjoy your holiday.

I wonder if it's a generational thing. Not to overthink this, but when we were kids, we grew up in the Cold War with this competition/hatred with the Soviet Union. There was real contempt, and I think that was true of big rivalries then.

With the collapse of the Soviet Union (apparently socialist/Marxist principles don't work real well--sorry, couldn't resist!) and the advent of free agency with players moving between rivals (Johnny Damon, Clemens), I guess that dynamic has been lost.

I guess our common ground comes in the sports realm. As for politics, I'm taking a break away from it for the Christmas holiday -- maybe the new year will bring enlightment to us all with the realization that one can be a liberal without being a Marxist

Merry Christmas to you and your family !
