Our gas grill is making strange noises when we turn it on. Checked the connections and they seem fine. Anyone know a service or a handyman with experience in fixing gas grills? Certainly do not want to provide neighborhood entertainment by having the grill lift off !

I suggest calling the manufacturer's customer service department. They will be the most familiar with your grill's characteristics, which means that they should have the best idea about whether the sound is normal or potentially dangerous.

Ha! I've found a little nest in my gas grill when I went to use it for the first time in the spring. Now I look down in there every time before I fire it up. That meat you smell roasting may not be chicken!!

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately the manufacturer (Great Outdoors) went out of business several years ago, so no help. The noise sounds as if there might be a partial blockage somewhere, a thumping sound, and when it gets a bit warmer I will give it a more thorough inspection.

No animals I hope at least none I could see upon casual inspection.
