Global Food?

I drove past there the other day, looks like they're making progress!
I can see that they're already stocking shelves, but they don't seem to have done anything cosmetic inside the store at all. Shoppers aisle markers are still up, etc.
I can't wait for them to open!!!!!!
Anyone hear any word on when?

 

They are opening on Novemeber 24th. Got a email from them.

Did you see the Global Food theme song on the website? You can download it in English or Korean. I can't quite make out the words, something about hallelujah
Wow the 24th is around the corner. Sounds like they're going to basically move into Shoppers without doing much. Kind of disappointing but I can't complain. I can't wait to not have to drive up 7 every time I want some produce (or sushi wrappers, spring roll wrappers, taro ice cream, a billion types of sauces, etc. etc. etc.)!
Has anyone been to the new asian market in Chantilly off of 50? Kind of odd to get to and VERY busy but worth the visit if you're ever out there. It's like a Wegman's, but an asian market. I almost peed my pants when I saw raspberries and blackberries for .99 there. They also have a bakery with fresh donuts. I believe Global Mart will have a bakery too, hopefully they'll have fresh items too.

Lotte Plaza (the store in Chantilly) also has the best prices on crabs and lobsters I have ever seen. Got 11 (large, heavy) male blue crabs for $13 last weekend ($2.29 per pound- the females were $1.99 per pound). Their live lobsters were $4.99 per pound. Worth the trip just for that.
