I am in need of a good divorce lawyer. Married for more than 10 years, domestic abuse involved and one child under 18 years. I want to fight for my rights and need a divorce lawyer who will understand my situation and fight for me. Thanks.

I will PM you the information for the great lawyer that handled a tough divorce and custody case for my Step-cousin's wife. He went Paranoid Schizo. I won't go into the details, but it's been pretty grim for her and her 3 teens kids. It's also so sad to see his decline.

If you are a woman, call Ilona Grenadier, a man call Andy Tank at Condo Kelly Byrnes -- both are expensive but best of breed. Google will turn up both of them.

I don't recommend the Grenaldier firm. Lots of billing and very little to show for it.

Mark B. Sandground, Sr., is an icon in the Washington, D.C. legal arena, with five decades in the practice of law. Admired for his legal abilities as well as his persona, Mr. Sandground is a leader in local domestic relations law. Clients seek out his astute knowledge of divorce and custody issues, particularly when faced with challenging circumstances.

Mr. Sandground is appreciated by our clients for his zealous pursuit of their interests. Well-known for his tenacious and steadfast representation, he was once characterized in Washingtonian Magazine as a "legendary bomber" in the field.

Augmenting his family law expertise, Mr. Sandground's appreciation of everything gourmet long ago prompted him to venture into business law specializing in restaurants. Now, many local restaurateurs count him as both their attorney and patron.

Mr. Sandground received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, a Ph.D. (hon) from Johnson & Wales University and is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia Bars.

I suggest you meet(1st) with Mark Sandground. If he is not the lawyer for you he will tell you who is. One other thing, don't go cheap! Mark is very expensive but when it comes to a divorce lawyers you get what you pay for.

    Good Luck!

I would recommend Jennifer Wexton in Leesburg. She's a former prosecutor who went into private practive several years ago. She's a great, local attorney. My experience has been that, in Loudoun, it's best to stick with the locals...
