    hi there -
so, i want to put in additional hardwood floors on our second level of our house - it is just one combined living/dining area - we live in the southern walk townhomes off village - they are newberry and smith, i think - and have dark (i believe they are oak) wood flooring with a slight reddish tint (slight) i tried going to home depot but they never have the sample boards in stock and i called empire (hey, i know the number by heart... ugh those commericals...) and they only carry 2 types of hardwood - neither even remotely match.

    help? thanks! :)

We used K&K Floors for some of our work. Mr. Cho came to the house and brought lots of samples. He knew just what we had just by looking. Also, your floor would most likly have changed color somewhat over the years. Our new floor was lighter but the color is catching up now.

I received a quote from K&K and it was very reasonable! I have not had the work done yet, but my neighbor used them and they did a beautiful job.

We also just used K&K Floors to install hardwood floors in our kitchen and family to match the existing Bruce hardwood floors in the entryway. We are very happy with the end result, and the new floors match exactly. K&K did a great job with the installation, and we highly recommend them.

As you may not already need the recommendation for Mr. Cho at k&k. He was instrumental in helping me match flooring and even ordered several boxes of different types for me as we couldn't find the right species and manufacturer. I wouldn't use anyone else and I am very picky. Good luck!
