    http://www.dchashing.org/

The local hashes are the tuesday hash and occasionally have ran through the broadlands  And some scared people here have posted about strange happenings in the past in the broadlands ha ha ha ha ha ha

Anyway hashers span the spectrum from the very wealthy to the homeless and every nationality. The soldiers even hash occasionally in Iraq  It is the purest form of true respect we trash everybody equally ha ha ha ha ha ha ha :clap::clap::clap::clap: sort of like here. Well I think you all trash me mostly on these boards but that is ok with me. ha ha ha  I'm extremely tough willed and mined ;) Especially this reccession and housing down turn effects me more then most of y'all :( I will post when the next close hash is and anybody can attend.

I need to find the "beer drinking club with a knee problem" since I have a busted knee and can't run. I looked into hashing, but I just don't want to be a walker.

Lee, how long are the runs typically? What kind of pace/running levels participate?

There are people that just show up for the beer or socialize and don't run at all ;)

There is every level of runner and there are walkers with a walking trail shorter then the running trail and then sometimes there are several levels of running trails. Runs can be any length from a couple of miles to over ten miles but generally about 2 to 4 miles with a beer or water check in the middle where many just hang out for a few minutes and at the end there is always beer and water and soft drinks and snacks. And then we go to an restaurant bar and party till when ever or even soneones home. Just like the HH here without the running. Till Kaosdad wanted to do a pub crawl which the hash does all the time ;) There are always larger events during the year and world wide events that could be anywhere on the planet. I have ran thru a volcano in Hawaii into the carter and back out to along the Mediterranean thru castles and even the Parthenon. and on and on and on :)

Sold! I'll look for a race when the forecasted temps are above freezing. Let me know if you're interested in joining me - would prefer to go with someone who knows the ropes.

you got it I will let you know when there is a good event close by for your first time hashing ;) Oh we don't use the word racing, never never use the racing word and there are other words too ha ha ha ;) strange things can happen when you use the wrong lingo like winning or losing ha ha
but most of the time it is in all good fun.
Anyway I will let you know when it warms up a bit and any one else that wants to have an adventure like no other. :)
