Holiday Coalition in Need of Donations for Teens

If you have teenage children, or you know a teenager, or you were a teenager once, please read on ...

Each year the Loudoun County Holiday Coalition accepts donations to assist residents who need help providing presents for their families during the Holidays. A challenge that they face is serving families with teenage children. They receive many more donations of toys and games for younger children (Toys for Tots, for example) but not enough donations appropriate for middle school and high school boys and girls.

This year, we could make a difference for this age group. As you think about your own holiday shopping, please consider helping a family in need here in Loudoun County as well. You can help by:

a) Donate merchandise (a list of suggested "teen" gifts is below - feel free to add to this list from personal experience!)
b) Donate gift cards (see list below)
c) Donate cash and I will shop for you!
d) SEND THIS NOTE to your friends, co-workers, sports teams, book clubs, church group, etc. and ask them to help as well, or write your own note if you prefer and offer to collect their donations

Lights Unique lamps, neon lighted items Jewelry, Cosmetic & Beauty

Kits, Jewelry Boxes Hair Dryers, Curling Irons & Flat Irons, Electric

Curlers Alarm Clocks Books Cameras Clothing, Sweatshirts, Jeans,
​

Hoodies (all sizes needed) Stationary, Diaries, Wallets, Purses

Gift Cards: Target, Wal Mart, Dick's Sporting Goods, Ulta, Charming Charlies, Regal Cinema, etc. - in general they prefer $10 increments because that way they can share the cards between many teens, but you can give whatever amount you'd like, or multiple $10 cards.

Also, if you want to contribute clothing or toys or games for other age groups, I am happy to pick up and deliver these to the Holiday Coalition as well.
